How Adstimate Works
Adstimate helps you estimate potential ad revenue from Google AdSense or AdMob using realistic assumptions and transparent calculations. This guide explains what each input means and how to use the results correctly.
What Adstimate Does (and Does Not Do)
Adstimate is an estimation tool, not a prediction engine. It helps you understand the earning potential of your traffic based on common publishing factors.
- Estimates potential monthly and yearly ad revenue
- Shows how changes in traffic, niche, or country affect earnings
- Helps compare conservative vs optimistic scenarios
- Does not guarantee income
- Does not connect to your AdSense account
- Does not store your data
How this Calculator Works
Most calculators use a flat rate, but we believe accuracy matters. This tool pulls real-time data from our Niches and Multipliers databases to calculate your ROI.
By factoring in the specific market saturation of your chosen country, we provide a realistic estimate rather than just a "best-case scenario" figure.
How to use
If you already know your RPM, locate and click “Set RPM Manually” toggle button, enter your RPM value, and then set your monthly pageviews to see your estimated earnings instantly. If you don’t know your RPM, follow the steps below to let Adstimate calculate your earnings automatically using the most recent realistic industry data.
Step 1: Enter Your Monthly Pageviews or Impressions
Start by entering the number of monthly pageviews (for websites) or ad impressions (for apps). If you’re unsure, use your analytics estimate or start with a rough average. Adstimate is designed to work even with approximate numbers.
Step 2: Select Country, Niche, and Device Mix
Ad revenue varies widely depending on where your visitors come from and what type of content you publish.
- Country: Traffic from the US and Europe generally earns more than other regions
- Niche: Finance, tech, and business niches attract higher-paying advertisers
- Device mix: Desktop traffic often earns slightly more than mobile
Adstimate uses recent industry benchmarks to adjust RPM realistically based on these selections.
Step 3: Set Content & Traffic Quality
Not all traffic is equal. A new site with social traffic earns differently from a trusted authority site.
Adstimate includes three quality levels:
- Basic / New: New sites, social traffic, low advertiser trust
- Good / Established: Most websites fall into this category
- Premium / High Trust: Authority sites with strong E-E-A-T signals
If you’re unsure, choose Good. Most users should not select Premium.
Step 4: Apply Seasonality (Optional)
Advertising spend changes throughout the year. For example, Q4 (October–December) often earns more due to higher advertiser demand.
Adstimate allows you to apply a seasonal multiplier to reflect this. If you’re unsure, leave it at the default (no adjustment).
Understanding Your Results
Adstimate shows three scenarios:
- Conservative: Lower-bound estimate
- Average: Most realistic expectation
- Optimistic: Best-case scenario
These ranges help you plan realistically instead of relying on a single number.
How to Use Adstimate Effectively
- Compare different niches before starting a site
- Estimate how traffic growth affects revenue
- Test the impact of higher-quality content
- Set realistic monetization expectations
